Hello!

I'm Kirsty Hammond, a writer from Ayrshire, Scotland. I write science fiction and fantasy short stories and flash fiction, and I'm working on a YA novel.

I'm a member of Ayr Writers’ Club. My work has been shortlisted by the Scottish Arts Club Flash Fiction Award, the Bridport Flash Fiction Prize, and I have won the Scottish Association of Writers’ Silver Thistle Award twice for a teen novel. I was published in the Scottish Book Trust’s Celebration book for Book Week Scotland 2021.

In 2024, I published my first short-story collection, A Lullaby for the Warrior Maiden.
